Held Sunday, October 23rd, 2016 Mary talked about the "why" of Wild Women Society (in case you missed it, the answer is: Magic). The gorgeous art of Aimee Erickson as a backdrop, Sarah (Vitort) Wild brought us her original music. Joanie Quinn provided an afternoon of laughter and fun! Sponsor Barb Mathey outdid herself with Goody Boxes this time, Yummy food, bubbly, Wild-tinis, and loads of Raffle items made for another fabulous gathering of Wild Women!

Guest Speaker Joanie Quinn is a rainbow haired, Menopause Mom of four. She's saving up for their therapy one performance at a time. Joanie regularly performs in Portland's comedy show "Spilt Milk: you'll laugh til you cry!”, Harvey's Comedy Club, and has appeared at Helium Comedy Club and The Legendary Ice House in Pasadena.

Guest Musician Sarah Wild, formerly Sarah Vitort, is a Portland native singer songwriter and self-dubbed "superhero in training". Fiery, free spirited, and fun-loving, she aims to inspire and empower people to live authentically and to embrace their own wild sides. As superheroes do, she strives to find the balance between the dark and the light, always aiming to be a creature of love, but not fearing her inner darkness, which is reflected in her work. Her songwriting represents both her deep spiritual beliefs and lighthearted carefree lifestyle alike, and her personal style reflects her love for classic DC Comics characters and badass female vigilantes.

Paris-born, Oregon-based artist Aimee Erickson is an oil painter in the realist tradition. Trained as an illustrator, she has a BFA in Visual Communication Design; her paintings are characterized by strong design, color, and brushwork, and have won many awards. She has studied with Sherrie McGraw, Burton Silverman, and Joseph Paquet, and is the first woman artist to paint an Oregon gubernatorial portrait, that of Barbara Roberts in 1997. Her workshop offerings include color theory for painters, plein-air painting, and studio painting.
